A Little Bit About Myself

My name is Carmen Christopher, and I have a passion for solving problems and telling stories. I enjoy getting to know users deeply and learning what makes them decide what they do. Getting to combine my creativity with problem-solving makes UX design perfect for me.

I absolutely adore designing the UI, and have been loving dubbed "the Bob Ross of Figma" by my teammates. I love making designs that are beautiful, precise and simple through testing and iterating.

From handwriting what was sure to be a bestselling fantasy novel in 8th grade (spoiler, it definitely wasn't) to refinishing furniture, being creative has always been a big part of my life.

Before becoming a designer, I worked as a copywriter where I wrote Amazon listings for business clients. I also did some design work in that role where I chose and described photos for clients to use as their main product images and even designed their A+ layouts.

When I discovered an occupation that combined my love for creating, writing and detail work, I knew it was right for me. As a designer, I fulfill my passion for aesthetic creation, powerful writing and connecting with people.

Since that discovery, I've completed UT Austin's intensive 6-month UX/UI bootcamp. And now, I am enrolled in Lindenwood University's Master of Arts program with an emphasis in Web and User experience, where I am expected to graduate in 2025.

Becoming a UX Designer

When I'm not  designing or writing killer copy, you can find me . . .
